An Elegant Black Tie Wedding at Gloster House in County Offaly

As a Gloster House wedding photographer, documenting weddings in this extraordinary Georgian home is always a privilege. Set in the heart of the Irish countryside, Gloster House offers couples a rare balance of relaxed luxury, architectural elegance and deeply personal atmosphere — making it one of the most sought-after wedding venues in Ireland.

An Intimate Irish–American Wedding at Gloster House

Eoghan, an Irish groom, and Brooklynne, an American bride, chose Gloster House as the setting for their intimate wedding in Ireland — a celebration that felt deeply personal, beautifully relaxed, and effortlessly elegant. With a small guest list and a strong focus on meaningful details, the day reflected not only their shared story but also the timeless character of one of Ireland’s most distinctive wedding venues.

Set in the heart of the Irish countryside, Gloster House offered the perfect balance of privacy, history and warmth for a wedding centred on connection, atmosphere and thoughtful design.

A Vintage Aston Martin Moment

One of the most memorable details was the couple’s arrival and portraits with a vintage Aston Martin. The car added a sense of old-world glamour and quiet cool, perfectly complementing the timeless setting of Gloster House.

Against the Georgian architecture and soft Irish light, it became a standout visual moment — effortlessly stylish and full of character.

An Intimate Wedding at Gloster House

With a carefully curated guest list, the day unfolded at an unhurried pace, allowing guests to truly settle into the house. Gloster House is uniquely suited to intimate weddings — its layered rooms, welcoming interiors and natural flow create an experience that feels more like a gathering in a private home than a formal event.

This sense of ease was key to the day, giving space for genuine moments, conversation and celebration without distraction.

Ahead of the ceremony, Eoghan and Brooklynne chose to share a private first look within the grounds of Gloster House. It allowed them a quiet moment together before the day unfolded, away from guests and expectations. By planning their portraits and couple photographs in advance, they were able to enjoy a completely uninterrupted drinks reception — spending time with family and friends, soaking in the atmosphere, and fully present for every moment of the celebration. For an intimate wedding, it was the perfect way to balance beautiful photography with a relaxed, guest-focused experience.

Irish-Inspired Floral Design

One of the standout elements of the wedding was the floral design by Kristine Hayes, who also acted as wedding planner and stylist. The florals were abundant yet refined, drawing inspiration from the Irish landscape and the gardens surrounding Gloster House.

Soft movement, natural textures and carefully chosen blooms brought warmth and life to each space, enhancing the character of the house rather than competing with it. The flowers became an integral part of the atmosphere — romantic, expressive and perfectly in tune with the setting.

Bridal Style & Wedding Details

The bride wore a contemporary gown by Kyha, sourced from Kyha, pairing modern design with the historic surroundings of the house. Bridesmaids wore dresses by Revelry, chosen to complement the overall palette with ease.

The groom wore a tailored suit by Canali, bringing a timeless, polished look that sat beautifully within the Georgian setting.

Hair and makeup were kept soft and natural, with makeup by Susan Brophy and hair by Sinead O’Sullivan, ensuring a relaxed, elegant finish throughout the day.

Thoughtful Touches & Atmosphere

Wedding stationery by Raise Your Words set the tone from the outset, while a beautifully crafted cake by Fern Cakery echoed the natural elegance of the day.

Music by Bentley Boys brought warmth and energy to the celebration, and the day was captured on film by Bride and Groom Films, preserving the atmosphere and emotion of this intimate wedding.

A Gloster House Wedding Photographer’s Perspective

From a photography perspective, this wedding was a perfect example of how Gloster House shines with smaller guest numbers. The relaxed pace, natural light and beautifully styled interiors allowed moments to unfold organically, resulting in imagery that feels both editorial and deeply personal.

Eoghan and Brooklynne’s Irish–American wedding was a celebration rooted in place, connection and thoughtful design — proof that intimate weddings at Gloster House can be every bit as impactful as larger celebrations.
