Lorraine & Shane

A flower drenched summer wedding in Castle Leslie

Lorraine and Shane’s Castle Leslie wedding was elegant, stylish and beautifully planned from beginning to end — a day where every detail felt intentional, yet nothing felt overworked. From a relaxed morning getting ready in Glaslough village, to a moving ceremony at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh, and back to Castle Leslie for a celebration filled with flowers, music and fireworks, their wedding was a perfect blend of classic Irish grandeur and modern sophistication.

Getting Ready in Glaslough Village

The day began quietly in Glaslough, with Lorraine and Shane getting ready just moments from the estate. There’s something special about starting a wedding day in the village — it instantly grounds the experience and sets a calm, unhurried tone.

Lorraine wore two stunning dresses over the course of the day — her first by Suzanne Neville, timeless and refined, followed by a second look by Lihi Hod that felt effortlessly modern. Makeup was handled by Paula Callan and her team at Tenth House, alongside hair by Sarah Keogh, creating polished, natural looks that photographed beautifully. The guys got ready in the Hunting Lodge on the Castle Leslie Estate, and then went to the local Old Coach Inn bar to get some pictures before the ceremony.

How beautiful is this summer bouquet by the immensely talented, Flowers by Kim Marie. Kim is local in Glaslough and works often in Castle Leslie. I love how romantic her style is, along with the rest of Lorraine’s details, I was very in awe of the attention to detail in the planning.

A Cathedral Ceremony at St Patrick’s, Armagh

The ceremony took place at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Armagh, an awe-inspiring setting that brought a sense of occasion and emotion to the day. Music by Rachel Goode filled the cathedral, creating a moving and memorable atmosphere as Lorraine and Shane exchanged vows.

Ceremonies like this remind you just how powerful music, space and emotion can be when they come together — quiet moments, proud smiles, and the kind of atmosphere that lingers long after the couple has walked back down the aisle.

A Beautifully Styled Castle Leslie Wedding

Returning to Castle Leslie Estate for the reception, guests were welcomed into a setting that felt luxurious but warm — elegant without ever feeling intimidating.

The styling and décor by EPIC were elevated by the truly exceptional florals from Flowers by Kim Marie, which were a standout feature of the day. Her work added softness, texture and movement throughout the spaces, enhancing Castle Leslie’s interiors rather than competing with them. Every arrangement felt thoughtful and cohesive — proof that great floral design can transform a venue while still respecting its character.

A champagne tower greeted guests at the drinks reception, setting a celebratory tone from the very beginning.

Music, Atmosphere & Seamless Planning

Music flowed beautifully through every part of the day — from the Leinster String Quartet during drinks reception, to Ukebox entertaining guests during the meal, before Jo Petit and the Dream Band took over for the evening celebrations. A DJ and sax rounded out the night, keeping the energy high well into the evening.

Working once again alongside Kevin from Little Bear Films meant everything ran smoothly and efficiently. When photography and film are aligned, couples get to stay present — enjoying their guests, their conversations and their celebration without constant interruptions.

Sparkles, Fireworks & A Perfect Ending

As night fell, guests gathered for a sparkler exit at 9:30pm, a moment full of laughter and excitement. Later, Lorraine and Shane surprised everyone with an incredible fireworks display, lighting up the Castle Leslie grounds and bringing the day to a truly unforgettable close.

It was the kind of ending that felt joyful, generous and full of heart — a perfect reflection of the couple themselves.
